Getting to Nami Island from Seoul

By Train (Recommended)

The fastest and most reliable route:

1. Take the ITX-Cheongchun express train from Yongsan Station (or Cheongnyangni Station if you are already on the east side of Seoul) toward Chuncheon. Exit at Gapyeong Station.

2. Journey time: approximately 55–65 minutes to Gapyeong on the ITX express. Note that the regular Gyeongchun Line train (slower) takes around 80 minutes and runs more frequently. Both trains use the same tracks - the ITX is worth the slight premium for the time saving.

3. From Gapyeong Station to the ferry terminal: approximately 5–10 minutes by taxi (KRW 4,000–5,000 as of 2026) or by a dedicated shuttle bus that operates on weekends. Some visitors walk the 3 km (approximately 35 minutes).

What to Do on Nami Island
