Jeju Island coastline and volcanic landscape South Korea

Jeju Purple Week 2026 runs from 5 to 20 June, turning Jeju Island into an island-wide interactive trail experience built around Hallyu culture, local heritage, and hands-on travel participation. Participation is free, though advance online registration is required to receive the official stamp book used throughout the event.

The festival introduces an island-wide stamp trail in which visitors collect stamps at participating locations — cultural sites, food experiences, and Hallyu-themed venues — to unlock exclusive rewards and recognition at the event’s conclusion. Cultural workshops, photography spots linked to Korean drama and music scenes, and curated experiences across the island are integrated into the trail routes. The stamp book itself becomes a physical keepsake from the trip.

How to register and participate

Registration opens through the official Jeju Purple Week platform ahead of the June 5 launch. On registration, participants receive their stamp book and a map of participating locations across the island. The 20-day window means visitors can complete the trail at their own pace, whether they are spending a long weekend on the island or a full week.

The event is deliberately island-wide rather than concentrated in a single area, which encourages visitors to move beyond Jeju City and Seogwipo into less-visited parts of the island. The volcanic highlands around Hallasan, the basalt coastal formations at Jeongbang Waterfall, and rural villages in the centre all have participating locations.

Planning your Jeju visit

June sits in the sweet spot for Jeju travel: temperatures hover around 20–24°C, the summer beach crowds have not yet peaked, and the island’s hydrangeas are in bloom. The rainy season begins toward the end of June, so the first two weeks of the month are generally the most reliable for outdoor exploration.

Most visitors combine Jeju with a few days in Seoul before or after. Gimpo–Jeju is one of the world’s busiest domestic flight routes, with departures every 15–30 minutes throughout the day.
